Super Bowl Commercials and Social Media Go Hand-In-Hand

After the Super Bowl, YouTube blows up with searches for viewer favorites, but as of late we’re seeing a trend of pre-game leaks. Notably the Volkswagen brand with their Star Wars theme carried over from last year with the “The Bark Side” dogs:

Marketers are using YouTube to drop little teasers to get people excited about the commercial they want to see, thus increasing the buzz around the commercial and word of mouth marketing. Perhaps you’re already been influenced by this trend… what commercial are you looking forward to seeing?
